VTone

VTone is an FDA-cleared pelvic floor treatment for urinary incontinence — no surgery, no injections, and no downtime. If you’ve noticed leakage during a laugh, a sneeze, or everyday activity, you’re not alone. In fact, pelvic floor weakness is one of the most common and treatable conditions women face. At Encompass Wellness & Aesthetics in Sioux Falls, SD, we offer VTone as part of a personalized intimate wellness plan built around your symptoms and your goals.

An EmpowerRF award to Encompass Wellness & Aesthetics for being a top provider in 2025.

What is VTone?

VTone is made by InMode and FDA-cleared for a treatment called intravaginal electrical muscle stimulation, or EMS. In other words, it sends gentle pulses to the pelvic floor muscles. These pulses trigger deep, coordinated contractions that build strength over time. In fact, these contractions go deeper than what most people can reach through standard pelvic floor exercises alone. As a result, this creates a clear path forward for women experiencing:

  • Stress urinary incontinence — leakage triggered by movement, exertion, sneezing, or laughing
  • Urge urinary incontinence — sudden urgency that’s difficult to control
  • Mixed urinary incontinence — a combination of both

How Does VTone Work?

During each session, your provider places a single-use device into the vaginal canal — it’s about the size of a tampon. The device sends gentle pulses that cause the pelvic floor muscles to contract. Most women feel a mild tingling during the session. Treatments are done in-office and need no prep, no anesthesia, and no recovery time afterward.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

Before Your First Session

First, your journey begins with a consultation. During this appointment, your provider reviews your symptoms, health history, and goals to confirm this is the right fit for you. This is also your opportunity to ask questions and understand every step of the process before treatment starts — no pressure, just options.

During Treatment

Each session takes place in our treatment room. Your provider positions the single-use electro-stimulator comfortably, and the device does the work from there — you simply relax. Many patients read, check messages, or rest during the session. In short, no effort is required on your part.

After Treatment

VTone requires no downtime. You can return to your normal activities immediately after each visit.

Is This Treatment Right for You?

This option may be worth exploring if you are managing any of the following:

  • Leakage during physical activity, sneezing, coughing, or laughing
  • A sudden, strong urge to urinate that is difficult to control
  • A combination of both types of symptoms

A consultation is the most reliable starting point. Your provider will review your history and help you decide whether this is the right approach — or whether a different option, or combination of treatments, would serve you better. Our Dakota Dunes location also welcomes patients from the surrounding tri-state area for consultations and treatment.
